FAQ's Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who will photograph my wedding? The person whose portfolio you view will be the photographer who photographs your wedding. We do not assign other photographers to photograph our weddings. 2. What kind of cameras and service providers do you use? We use professional cameras and offer digital as well as film capture. The cameras are primarily 35mm Canon and Nikon digital cameras as well as medium format Hasselblad and Bronica film cameras. We use high quality lenses that produce superior images with exacting detail, well balanced color, and clarity. If we use a film camera, professional film, manufactured especially for the challenges of wedding photography, is standard. A hybrid option, using film, with preview and hi-resolution scanning for CD, DVD, or photographic digital printing and retouching, may also be selected. Wedding labs, specializing in people photography, are used to achieve the best color balance and high quality archival reprints. In addition, we have long standing and well researched relationships with professional album manufacturers so that your keepsake wedding photos are well preserved in beautiful and durable archival albums and magazine style wedding and coffee table books, available only through a professional photographer. 3. How is what you do different than my relative, who has a camera and loves to take pictures? Many friends and relatives are well-intentioned amateurs whose photos look OK, but they may use 1 hour labs who don't preserve the negatives for archival quality and they may not have the knowledge or access to expertly color balance, enhance, and process negatives or digital images. Usually their equipment, quality of lenses, size of files, and processing of digital images is not even close to what professional equipment in the hands of professionals can achieve. In addition, your relatives don't have our expertise or experience at working smoothly with you on your wedding day to produce a full complement of wedding photos for your beautifully designed, long lasting albums, wedding books, or wall portraits. We have spent many years of our lives training, and continue to educate ourselves, on how to serve you better. 4. Do you bring back up equipment? Yes, additional cameras, lenses, power & sync cords, battery packs, and memory cards or film, are all standard extras we bring along with us. 5. What is your training in photography? Each group member is professionally trained in photography at college level. We have many years of hands-on experience in wedding photography. Our passion for excellence in our field, and attention to the details of your event will be evident in the ease with which we work with you. You'll hardly know we are there, but your pictures—which should last for lifetimes —will be great! 6. How do I decide which photographer to select? It is most important that you feel comfortable with your photographer. Contact each studio individually for availability, pricing, and packages. If possible arrange to meet and chat. Get a feel for how a photographer will work with you in planning the photography for your wedding day and also what the process is for creating your final book. We understand that selecting your wedding photographer is one of the most personal decisions you will make. Each of us is committed to your specific needs and expectations. |
